چکیده
Abstract Background The uses of botanical pesticides in pest management are currently on remarkable increase due to their efficacy, biodegradability, environment-friendly, and availability. Ethanol extracts three spices ( Piper guineense , Aframomum melegueta Zingiber officinale ) commercial pesticide AzaSol (6% azadirachtin) were assessed for contact toxicity, residual effects, potential soil application against pupariating larvae oriental fruit fly Bactrocera dorsalis the laboratory at ambient temperature 27 ± 2 °C relative humidity 75–80%. applied 1:1.5 w/v concentration while cypermethrin was introduced as standard check 5 ml/liter water. Results All treatments very effective B. toxicity affects recording 89.4–100% larval mortality 24 h post-application. Z. had similar effects both 100% post-exposure. showed higher than A. better larvae. most among botanicals reducing adult emergence enhancing (96.7%) treated followed by (83.3%). efficacy comparable cypermethrin. significantly more control soil. Conclusion P. highly promising could be adopted targeting puparia under tree canopies part integrated B . orchards.

Chagas' disease is chiefly transmitted by feces of haematophagous bugs (Triatominae) that ingested Trypanosoma cruzi from blood of infected people or animals. Pyrethroids have been the main insecticides used against these insects. However, some populations of insects have shown significant levels of resistance to several pyrethroids, indicating the need of new insecticides for the control of tr...

in this work, a novel and fast method for direct analysis of volatile compounds (davc) of medicinal plants has been developed by holding a filament from different parts of a plant in the gc injection port. the extraction and analysis of volatile components of a small amount of plant were carried out in one-step without any sample preparation. after optimization of temperature, extraction time a...
The antibacterial activity of Solanum nigrum leaf, fruit and stem extracts against fish pathogens in laboratory conditions
This study aimed at investigating the antibacterial effects of extracts from leaf, fruit, and stem of Solanum nigrum on fish pathogenic bacteria. The extraction process was done using the rotary device. The leaf methanol extract and the fruit acetone extract (MIC and MBC of 25 and 12.5 ppm, respectively) showed stronger antibacterial properties. The Streptococcus iniae were the most resistant b...
